Lots of Goodies From Tucson

So Tucson was warm, sunny, the resort that we always stay at & love was under renovations so I am sure it will be fabulous again on our next trip out .....

However, despite all of that I did find lots of goodies that I can't wait to turn into something fabulous for the Beach Haus Designs line & the new June Beach Collection!!!



GLW was great & huge as usual. Manning House had a couple of booths that I just drooled over & bought some wonderful artisan pieces. Love helping to support other artist especially when they have such beautiful designs & quality.......AGTA of course is fabulous! My better pearl supplier there had some of the most amazing pearls......my favorite this year is without a doubt the chocolate pearls. Ben thought I was just dreaming about chocolate until he saw them and agreed that they were fabulous! Course the prices on them were something too, LOL!!!! I have a couple of thoughts on what I am going to mix them with...........

Ok so back to some of the other goodies I found........lots of black coral in fun shapes, some interesting crystals that I got a smattering of (those of you who know me well, know I have a love affair with Swarovski so this was a big deal to buy these). They look MUCH better in person than they are showing up in my quick pics.......isn't that always the case though!
Also found some great new agate, new fun colors of turquoise that I am SO excited about I can't stand it and of course mother of pearl which I love in every shape, size, color, etc...........

Overall, a good trip. Checked out a few new shows that I had never been too and course my good ole standby. Just wish I could have made it to Swarovski's in time but due to a little birthday that we had the day before it wasn't possible this year.....maybe next year. Beadalon had some new really cool products that I am anxious to try as well as some cool enameled toggles that are too cool for words........

Starting looking for lots of new goodies to start showing up at the shows, stores & website soon as I get busy in the studio with all the other wonderful things that I found at the show that I am not showing you yet!!!!

Happy Birthday To My Littlest Assistant!

She is a whopping 1!!!!
Can't believe it has been a year.......course isn't that what every mom says, LOL!

The adorable sparkling crown that I got Little Assistant #2 to wear for her big day is from Frenchgardenhouse. Girl Party & TuTu Heaven

Ok, so I will post shortly about all the goodies that I found in Tucson as well as many others things including my littlest assistant's first birthday!!

But.....I have to toot the horn of a dear friend that I adore that has started her new business creating adorable tutu's.

Kim is well, I am happy to say just fabulous designing gal! She is funny, smart and the mom of two adorable little girls who happily are close in age to my two little assistants so they get together & have what they call Girl Parties with lots of giggles & twirls thrown in for good measure! Hence, Girl Party Tutu's!

My oldest daughter LOVES these tutu's and has been more than pleased to be a guinea pig for Kim's wonderful fluffy tutu's.........The cutie above is her #2 assistant!!! Adorable isn't she? Course I am totally biased! You should see 4 little girls all in fluffy tutu's tearing through the studio.......too cute for words!

First Days of Skiing...

So a bit of personal fun....Lauren learned to ski this past weekend! YIPPEEE....you see this is huge for a southern girl like myself. Since we didn't have snow and didn't really make trips out to Colorado during the winter months ( my mom is not big on the cold at all, actually my dad too, LOL!) so none of the three girls in my family ever learned. I took my first ski lesson in my 20's and I can tell you that I was terrified learning how to snow plow down the hills of Colorado although I have to admit I sorta of liked it despite being scared silly!!!!

So move forward now and I am determined that my two little assistants will both learn to ski so that they will love it and be able to enjoy winter so much more......course it doesn't help that we are driving distance to quite a few ski resorts!

Not sure who OOOh'd & Awwwww'd the most...me or Ben but we certainly did our share of taking pictures of our snow bunny getting on the lifts and coming down the bunny hill. We signed her up for a lesson & then found out that they don't want the parents anywhere near so that the child can focus and learn with the instructor. Smart move!!!!

It was lightly snowing and was just beautiful......Sydney loved playing in the snow for the first time. Such a good day!

Hearts for Everyone!

Ok, so I am already in the mood for Valentines Day! I know, I know.....it is a voting day, a snowy day (cold one too, especially for this southern gal, LOL), a work day, etc.....but at least in the studio I have been able to indulge in some warmth, wonderful coffee and some time to work on some amazing one of a kind pieces that are truly made with love.

Love this necklace called Oh Cameo! Full of Copper, Hematite & lots of sparkling Swarovski crystals. This necklace is for the romantic in all of us......

This is one of my favorites!!! A handblown glass hear in black with white polka dots, beautiful pink roses and green leaves. We then set it off with black onyx & pink & green swarovski crystals......Perfect for that extra special person in your life!

Aren't these just some fun sterling heart earrings for that gal that likes her hearts just a little more artsy.........All sterling silver, freshwater pearls and sparkling swarovski crystals.....LOVE!!!

I am just in love with this lovely set. The handblown glass heart & beads are in a beautiful periwinkle and have an airy look when you see it in person, then add the sweet blue & pink little roses with green leaves. We have combined it with periwinkle & pink freshwater pearls and of course, Swarovski crystals!

Just had to throw in this lovely necklace for all of my beach lovers! Fabulous smoky quartz, Swarovski crystals and a beautiful shell pendant. You will love this necklace!!!

Happy & Sparkling 2008!

Wishing everyone a wonderful, joyous and blessed 2008! I hope that all of you dreams come true for you this year.

We got TONS of snow here in Michigan....the skiers are SO happy!! It is just beautiful after a snowfall. I was describing it to my mom who still lives in the south with the rest of my family that it honestly looked like something out of Currier & Ives....simply beautiful. Course it does after a while make you long for Florida with all of the beautiful beaches and sun......maybe a trip is in our near future!

Little Assistant #1 was out with her daddy on the snowplow eating a snowball almost as big as her all bundled up in her snowsuit, hat & mittens. Rosy cheeks and eyes just a sparkling from all of the fun she was having. She came into the house asking for hot chocolate for both her and her daddy. So cute!

On to Beach Haus.......We have so many new things planned for this year and one of the biggest is the launching of our new wholesale line the June Beach Signature Collection. Jewelry that sparkles like you! We are almost finished with the inital line and will be sending out the catalogs to our exsiting customers as well as our fabulous reps! I am so excited about the potential of this new line that I am just busting at the seems wanting to show you the pieces for at this time they are for store eyes only...........be patient I will give you a sneak peek very soon!

Our Beach Haus Designs line is up and running with new Valentines & Easter designs coming online as well as some fabulous ones that are offline as well. The stores & customers that have seen some of the new pieces have been thrilled with the results and some swear they are some of the best pieces they have seen. I will be posting a bunch shortly on the website and some here too.

So off to the studio to work, work, work so that I can keep my promises of all the goodies to come. My little assistants are following me as we speak and I can't wait to see what theycomes up with today. I am sure it will be as fabulous as she is!
