Sorry it has taken me a bit to post here.....but well not only were we celebrating the 4th of July but my birthday was the 5th! SO lots happening here & I will be sharing quite a bit in the next few posts as well......Little Assistant #1 & I ran our first 2k race on the 4th. What fun it was to share that with her plus I think it has inspired me to get training for a 5k race of my own in the near future. Funny how little things like that can just get you moving in a new direction, isn't it???
Here is the starting line...quite a few people gathered for race day! We were just happy not to finish last!!!! YIPPEE! There was a 20K, 10K, 5K & the 2K that were run that day in Frankenmuth for the Volkslaufe.

My parents were in from the south for a week long visit & Little Assistant #2 who was clapping on the sidelines as we header toward our big finish!!!
What a great way to spend a holiday and a good start to a birthday........
